SALES DESIGNER.

We are looking for a competent, self-motivated, and well-organized Sales Designer (S/D) who will be responsible for all stages of the design, costing, and specification of our outdoor kitchen ranges, canopies and luxury garden lifestyle products.

Working alongside the existing Sales Designer, Marketing Team and the Managing Director to ensure a quality sales process is followed to successfully supply high-end projects and products to our customers. The S/D will be an integral part of implementing sales strategies and being part of the growth of the company in the next 1-3 years.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm, hunger and a natural inquisitiveness to seek out opportunities and act on them quickly and effectively. You may either already be operating successfully as a Sales Designer looking for your next opportunity or starting out on your journey in design and sales.

It is essential that you have a good eye for design but also have a hunger and intuition to achieve a sale. You should be computer literate, with some proven design or sales achievement and be comfortable communicating, in person, on the phone and by e-mail, with high-net-worth individuals and working on high value projects.

You should want to develop a good network of prospects and industry contacts and be comfortable networking to initiate and develop good long-term relationships. You should have initiative, maturity and confidence, with enough tenacity to implement your ideas, designs and strategies to clients, and internally within the company, and be able to communicate and present these ideas effectively and with energy and enthusiasm.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Respond to enquiries on the phone, by email or in person at the showroom to gain an understanding of the scope of work and opportunity of each lead.

Give passionate showroom tours to excite clients about their project and the solutions we can offer.

Be able to understand and advise on the client’s needs in a consultative non pressured manner to achieve a sale.

Understand the importance of effective and passionate communication as a critical sales tool.

Working alongside an existing Sales Designer to foster a healthy, friendly but competitive team that together meets the overall department and companies’ sales targets.

Meet your own quarterly and annual sales targets.

Actively network within the industry and take part in and contribute to CPD talks either here at the showroom or at external events.

Design, cost, present and negotiate your own projects to convert opportunities to create amazing outdoor kitchen and entertainment environments.

Ensure that you are always representing the company’s values and image and champion the TOKC brand.

Ensure you are actively keeping up to date with current and emerging market trends and product developments.

Regularly and accurately update your own sales pipeline reports/CRM system.

Build and maintain ongoing B2B and B2C client relationships.

Maintain a maximum 24hr turnaround policy for enquiries, designs, revisions and quotations.

Providing regular updates of sales success to the rest of the team. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in a comparable or transferrable role in design or sales would be an advantage.

A keen interest in design and luxury products is essential.

Experience working with design packages, Sketchup, Vector works, CAD, etc. is an advantage.

Computer literate. MS Office/Outlook/CRM or similar essential.

Commercial awareness.

Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

Experience of, or exposure to, a luxury high end environment or products.

Experience of managing client accounts.

Experience of designing and delivering garden designs or construction projects.

A knowledge of and interest in food, cooking and in particular outdoor living products such as BBQs, Outdoor kitchens, Pergolas is a distinct advantage.

Good understanding of construction/design processes.

Benefits
A competitive basic salary and performance linked bonus package will be awarded to the successful candidate. Training will be provided. Job Type: Permanent - Full-time office-based role, with some European travel.

Salary: £30,000 basic salary per annum (dependent on experience)

Nest Pension scheme after completion of probation. 20 days holidays plus bank holidays

Additional pay: Quarterly commission structure after completion of probation period. OTE 36-40K

Please note: Showroom is open Monday -Saturday. The Sales Designer will need to work a five-day week including a minimum 2 Saturdays per calendar month in lieu of a Monday or Tuesday in the following week.
